What are Apprenticeships?

Apprenticeships from Bury College Business Solutions provide valuable work-based training programmes, which give Apprentices the opportunity to earn a real wage as they learn and gain practical skills from the work place. With the perfect balance between on the job training, work experience and assessments, Apprentices gain the essential skills and the experience employers want.

Bury College provide Apprentices in 19 areas:
Accountancy, Beauty Therapy, Business Administration, Catering and Hospitality, Children's Care Learning and Development, Construction, Contact Centre,
Customer Service, Electrical Installation, Hairdressing, Health & Social Care, ITQ/IT Practitioner, Manufacturing, Nail Services, Oral Health Care, Retail, Sport and Leisure, Team Leading, Warehousing.

Are Apprenticeships for new or existing employees?

Apprenticeships provide learning and development opportunities for existing staff, and in collaboration we will agree the most effective way to meet the needs of the individual and your business. We also offer a Professional Recruitment Service to allow employers the opportunity to recruit Apprenticeships on most of our programmes.

Are there any costs involved?

An Apprentice will receive training at no cost to your company, all you are responsible for is the salary of your Apprentice, which should take into consideration their age and experience.

How much time will he/she spend away from work?

Your Apprentice training is flexible and can be delivered in the workplace offering minimal disruption to your business. A dedicated Bury College Assessor will provide additional training, support, and assessment. For a number of Apprenticeship programmes release to Bury College may not be necessary.
