Little Holcombe and Tower View Nursery have been instrumental in training their staff with Bury College Business Solutions. Over the past 6 years staff have undertaken a wide range of training opportunities including: Sign Language, Appraisal Training, NVQs in Childcare, Essential Management Skills, A2 Assessor Award and most recently 14 members of staff completed First Aid qualifications.
Two members of staff, Vickie Kaye, Senior Manager and Judith Shaft, Head of the 2 & 3 year old department at Little Holcombe, have also completed training in Epilepsy, Autism and Down Syndrome with the College. Judith said, “This course really helped us understand the causes for behaviour. The course was excellent and very beneficial.” Emma Humphries, Deputy Manager for Little Holcombe added, “The tutor Alison Stone was really good. Having training in our workplace was also beneficial in making all the staff feel comfortable and able to ask questions.”
Speaking about training, Vickie Kaye said, “I cannot fault the service that we have had from Bury College Business Solutions. The customer service has been fantastic and I would like to say a big thank you to the Business Development Advisors for all their help in structuring the courses to suit our needs.
